A way to bless life in the light of Islam

Barakat' means welfare and abundance.  To be blessed with something means to abound in the goodness and beneficence of that thing and to gain its permanence.  That is, an increase in the quality of a positive aspect of a thing is the blessing of that thing.  For example, the meaning of money being blessed, money being used for goodness and welfare.  To achieve abundance in the goodness and goodness of the work in which the money will be spent and to achieve its goodness and goodness permanence.  Being blessed with money does not mean an increase in money.  But sometimes blessings can be achieved that way.  To be blessed with food means to receive the desired goodness and beneficence from the food and to obtain the permanence of that goodness and beneficence.  To be blessed in the age of life means to spend the time of life in good and benevolent deeds and to be able to do a lot of good in a short time.  Thus blessings can be achieved in every field of life and in every work, blessed life can be built if we adopt the methods of Quran-Hadith directed to build a blessed life.  Below are mentioned the Quranic-Hadith-directed methods of attaining blessings in various aspects of life.

Ways to gain blessings during life

Blessings during life are earned by good deeds.  The more good deeds he does, the more blessings he will have in his life.  Hazrat Chaoban RA.  In a hadith narrated by Katrik, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “Nothing can increase one's age except good deeds.  Nothing but du'a can reverse fate, and man is deprived of sustenance because of his sins” -Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 90;  Tirmidhi, Hadith 2139

Explanation: Fate is changed by dua, it even changes fate. The meaning of this saying is that the fate that is written about, which will be changed when dua is made, is changed, or the fate is not changed.

Similarly, in the case of increasing age, the explanation is that if it is written by Almighty Allah that doing such good deeds will increase one's age, in that case one's age will be increased by that good deed or here it is meant to be blessed in age by increasing one's age.  Good deeds are blessed during life.

In a tradition of Hakim, Mustadara, Allah blesses those who serve their parents even in their old age.

Ways to get blessed with wealth

Blessings in wealth are gained by charitable giving.  Spending wealth according to Allah's orders, spending wealth in the way of Allah, spending wealth in the work of religion, wealth is blessed.  It does not reduce wealth;  Rather increases.  On the contrary, if you earn wealth illegally, Allah does not bless that wealth.  In the Holy Quran, Allah says:

. يَمْحَقُ اللّٰهُ الرِّبٰوا وَ يُرْبِي الصَّدَقٰتِ

That is, Allah redeems usury and increases charity.  - Surah Baqarah: 276

Hazrat Abu Huraira RA.  In a narrated hadith, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "Charity does not diminish wealth."  By forgiving, Allah increases the dignity of the servant.  And if someone adopts tawazu or modesty for the sake of Allah, Allah raises his status.' - Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1588;  Jame' Tirmidhi, Hadith 2029

From the above verses and hadiths, it is understood that if charity and charity are given in the way of Allah, if it is spent in the way of Allah, whether it is obligatory expenditure or nafl expenditure, the wealth does not decrease because of it;  Rather, Allah increases wealth.  Sometimes he increases the amount of wealth, sometimes he increases the blessing of wealth.  When God increases as He sees fit, He increases.  On the contrary, those who earn wealth through usury or illegal means, Allah makes their wealth unblessed.  They are not blessed with wealth.  The goal of attaining happiness and peace through wealth is not in their destiny.

Hazrat Abu Huraira RA.  In another hadith narrated by Kathrik, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Whenever the servants of Allah rise in the morning, two angels descend from the sky.  One of them said, O Allah, reward the giver.  Others say, O Allah, destroy the miser.  -Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 1442;  Muslim, Hadith 1010

In another hadith, Hazrat Abu Huraira RA  Said, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, Allah says that, O son of Adam, give in charity and I will give in charity to you.  -Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 4684;  Sahih Muslim, Hadith 993

Ways to get blessings in business

Business is blessed by honesty.  If a trader falsely sells dead goods or gives false information about the quality of the goods, he is able to make more profit temporarily, but later the buyer, after knowing the correct information, excludes the trader.  As a result, the trader is deprived of the profits that he would have been able to earn from the buyer many days in the future.  Thus he is deprived of honesty.  This is his blessing.  The buyer is also deprived of blessings as a result of dishonesty.  Hazrat Hakim Ibn Hizam in Bukhari Sharif.  In a narrated Hadith, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, “If they (the buyer and the seller) both speak the truth and clarify their faults, then they will be blessed in their purchase and sale.  And if they lie and conceal, then the blessing of their buying and selling will be lost.”  - Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2079

Ways to obtain blessings in food

In order to obtain blessings in food, it is taught to start the meal by mentioning the name of Allah and dua about Allah's blessing before starting the meal.  There is such a dua even when food is in front of you.  There is also such a dua at the time of starting a meal.

It is Sunnah to recite the dua “Allahumma barik lana fima rajaqtana waqbina azabannar” before food.  The meaning of this dua is, O Allah, bless us with the sustenance that You have given us.  And save us from the punishment of hell.  - Kitabul Azkar, Hadith 650

It is Sunnah to recite the dua “Bismillahi wa Barakatillah” before starting food.  This dua means, in the name of Allah, starting to eat with the blessings of Allah.

Meals are more blessed by eating together.  Hazrat Wahshi Ibn Harb RA.  In a hadith narrated by some of the companions of the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked, O Messenger of Allah, do we eat food but do not feel satisfied with it?  Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked, "Perhaps you eat food in different ways?"  They said, Yes.  Then the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, Eat together and eat in the name of Allah.  It will bless your food.  -Sunan Abu Dawud, Hadith 3764;  Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3286

Food is further blessed by picking up the fallen pieces of food (washing if necessary) and eating.  In a hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "You do not know which part of your food is blessed."  In other words, the part that falls away remains blessed.  So pick it up and eat it.

Ways to earn the blessings of sustenance

Rizi is blessed by maintaining good relations with relatives.  Hazrat Anas  In a hadith narrated by Karkar, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "He who wishes to increase his livelihood and live long, should treat his relatives well."  - Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2067 Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1557

Note that food is not the only purpose of Rizq;  Rather, food, wealth, clothing, knowledge, peace and security are all included in sustenance.

Ways to get blessings in marriage

Marriage is blessed by avoiding extra expenses.  Hazrat Ayesha in Shuabul Iman book.  In a hadith narrated by, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "Certainly the marriage is more blessed in which the expenses are less."  - Shuabul Iman, Bayhaqi, Hadith 6146

Recently, a huge amount of wealth has been wasted on marriages.  As well as songs, videos, etc., various sins are committed.  Due to these reasons, the blessings of marriage are being destroyed.  The recent decline in happiness in married life is a manifestation of this lack of blessing.

Thus, how blessings come in different areas of life is very beautifully indicated in the Shariah.  The main point of all these is to follow the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.  Through this, blessings come in all areas of life.
